"The Livable Streets Coalition is an initiative grounded in equity and respect. It allows individuals in Baltimore to collaborate across boundaries and empowers communities directly affected by the high volume, high-speed traffic in the Fayette-Orleans-Monument-Madison street corridor."

Delegate Robbyn Lewis

46th District Representative, The Maryland House of Delegates

Slow Streets Nomination Form

Slow Streets’ aim to improve neighborhood traffic safety and walkability by reducing vehicle speed limits and decreasing traffic density.

The Baltimore Department of Transportation (DOT) is expanding it’s Slow Streets’ program to calm traffic and increase walkability, especially during COVID-19. The DOT hopes that this public health intervention will empower residents to practice social distancing while walking or exercising outdoors.

In continuation with their expansion efforts, the Baltimore DOT needs your help in deciding the next street to enhance by reducing traffic and promoting social distancing!
